Ashley Park House.

Wedding photography & film. A lake, a walled garden and plenty of room for your people.

Down by the water

Plenty of space. Everyone close.

Ashley Park House is an 18th-century house near Nenagh in County Tipperary. These are photographs and a film from weddings we’ve covered here, with the getting ready, the ceremony by the lake and the people in between kept together.

The house has character in every room, and the grounds run all the way down to the water. Guests spill out onto the lawn, the drawing rooms fill up, and the party sunglasses come out. Those are the bits we look for.

We’ll make time for a walk together, by the lake or through the walled garden, and the family photographs that matter. Then we’ll get you back to the people you came to celebrate with.

An 18th-century house at Ardcroney, near Nenagh, set in 76 acres of woodland beside a private lake. The Ceremony Room in the old boathouse, the walled garden and the lakeside Pavilion give each part of the day its own setting.

A short wander. A little quiet.

Room to be yourselves.

A little time together, then straight back into the day.

Your people

Everyone gets a moment.

Party sunglasses, a hand with the buttonhole and the whole crowd out on the lawn.

From the house to the lake

Leave time to
wander.

Ashley Park works best when the day has room to breathe. Tell us how you’d like the time after your ceremony to feel. Build in the congratulations, a drink with your guests and the family photographs, and we’ll help you fit those moments together before the day.

The lake, jetty, walled garden and woodland give us plenty of settings, but you don’t need to fit every one into your portraits. We’ll suggest a short walk around the light and weather. For a winter date or a later ceremony, bring us into the conversation early so there’s room for photographs while it’s light.

Planning your Ashley Park House wedding

A few useful things.

Have you photographed weddings at Ashley Park House before?

Yes. Bokeh Photography & Film has photographed and filmed weddings at Ashley Park House, including Rachael & Tomás, Meadhbh & Micheál, Clodagh & Neal, Grace & Jack, and Madison & Daithí.

Where can we take couple photographs?

The jetty and lakeshore, the walled garden, the glasshouse and the woodland all give us options. We’ll work with the light and weather on your day, and keep things close enough that you’re not missing the whole drinks reception.

What is the ceremony like to photograph?

The Ceremony Room looks straight out over the lake, so there’s beautiful soft light and room to work quietly. We photograph what happens as it happens, including the reactions of the people sitting around you. Your venue coordinator can confirm the ceremony options for your date.

When is the light best at Ashley Park?

Late afternoon and early evening, when the light comes low across the lake. In summer, we’ll often take a few minutes outside after dinner. For a winter wedding, we plan portraits closer to the ceremony, while there’s daylight.
